PA House Bills Back Natural Gas at the Fuel of the Future

Local legislators are among those pushing a series of bills to increase consumption of the state’s abundant supply of natural gas, with York representatives authoring components of the Marcellus Works package.

The bills passed out of their committees last week, furthering the House Republican initiative to increase conversion to natural gas as the fuel is being drilled from Pennsylvania’s Marcellus Shale formation.

Fleet Energy Update March 2013

Fleet Energy has been on the road traveling all over Pennsylvania during March. March 15-17th was the Builders Association of Central PA 29th Annual Home Show, where Fleet Energy held a booth to promote both the conversation of individual and fleet vehicles and the home stations to fuel them. On March 27, the Centre Country Camber of Commerce held an event centered around Pennsylvania Transportation. Fleet Energy sponsored the event which allowed for a panel of representatives from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Turn Pike Association and Centre Count’s own CATA transportation company to answer questions. Fleet Energy was proud to sponsor an event that’s purpose was to inform members of our community on the coming transportation bill and give a clear picture on what is happening in Harrisburg on the issue of transportation and road and bridge maintenance. NGVs | GAS TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE

Gas Technologies Institute:

GTI is working with the City of Chicago and the Chicago Area Clean Cities Coalition with support from significant DOE Clean Cities grants to implement a major alternative fuel vehicle and infrastructure program which will reduce CO2 equivalent emissions throughout the Chicago region by almost 59,000 metric tons (equivalent to taking 11,000 cars off the road) and displace over 21 million gallons of gasoline over an eight- year time period. Building upon these efforts, local Chicago businesses are adding NGVs to their existing fleets in record numbers and expanding fueling infrastructure in the Chicago metro area.
